Kitchen. I loved this book. It was written by Banana Yoshimoto in 1988 & translated to English (from Japanese) in 1993. The cover is pale green & red. It has a picture of someone in a white dress with black socks & shoes on. I really enjoyed Kitchen. That is my entirely factual review of Kitchen.
